Old DOS based program required an active printer connection to operate and the connected dot matrix printer was breaking down. Printer was replaced with retro-printer module which captured the print data and saved it to a file. Also a custom CSV file capture was implemented to the setup successfully. Retro-printer extended the operating life of the system significantly.



Support during the whole implementation process was superb!

Our substation fault recorder was no longer operational due to a faulty printer. The retro-printer module has allowed us to continue using this equipment and has massively improved our functionality in that now we can access the data remotely as a PDF. The output format of the graphics on our system was unusual but Rich couldn't have been more helpful in getting us set up properly - excellent customer service and support!

RetroPrinter module saved us! As per our production process, we have been requested to trace regularly the PLC configuration which is running in production.
Since the PLC is really outdated, the only way to export data is catching the data out of the LTP1 parallel printer port, and translate the same into a digital format

The Retro-Printer is a great module!
I highly recommend this module for those scientists who has OLD scientific equipment that works well but has problems with VERY old printer. We have a gamma counter that works great, but the dot matrix style printer gave out, and the floppy disk drive in the gamma counter is also broken.

The Retro-printer fixed both at one shot. not only does it print the data, but it also saves the data in text and pdf format. No more tedious typing numbers!

The support staff was very helpful in (minimal) set up needed, and was very patient with me as i have no knowledge of linux at all. The module is very simple to use, and now i can use AI to help me with the small adjustments too.

I'm delighted with my RetroPrinter. As I am not highly technical, I needed an "out of the box" solution, so I purchased the ready assembled cased version. RWAP got me up and running via online support in about 15 minutes. Much better service than I am used to from the big corporates!

I'm using the RP with my ZX Spectrum 48k and 128K Toast Rack with Multi-Print Centronics interface attached. I have also used it sucessfully on my old Pentium II and have another couple of vintage machines to try out too.

The Retro Printer is exactly what we needed to keep our application running. During the implementation on our application, Rich's support was simply outstanding. Small, simple and it works.

This product is exactly what was needed for our application. With many companies refusing to upgrade "working" hardware this product came in a clutch to provide a solution for next to nothing.

Setup was a breeze, and has been essentially untouched since deployed. My only fear is that a couple years down the road, it'll be forgotten about because it does it's job so well!

A customer wanted to replace an old matrix printer. The printer was connected to a self-made "material stress" machine, the machine's electronics directly sending caracters to the printer by serial to parallel converter. Retro printer module gave us the opportunity to directly convert the stress test analysis results to PDF files, saving a lot of clumsy paper, and time, for my client. No more need to scan the printed results!

The support from retroprinter team was really great, helping thru the whole process. When we encountered a specific problem, they even developed a specific parameter for us. Really enjoyed working with them!!
